How to convert Confluence pages to a SharePoint Page or Document and having these in SharePoint.
Information:
You will need an appropriate Team in Microsoft Teams set up before migrating a Confluence page. If you need to request a new Team, click the Submit Request button
Step 1: In Confluence
Option 1. Archiving information: Historical reference - information you won't change in the future
- Sign into Confluence
- Locate the page you want to migrate
- Click the three horizontal dots
- Choose the Export as PDF option
- Follow 'Step 2'
Option 2 - For working and updating information - Copy into SharePoint Document -Similar to File Shares
The Export to Word feature in Confluence does NOT function well and is NOT recommended.
- Option 1 (Save to your computer, then upload to SharePoint)
- Open a Word Document on your computer
- Copy and paste the information from the confluence page into the Word Document
- Follow 'Step 2' below for putting this document into SharePoint
- Option 2 (Save directly to SharePoint)
- Follow 'Step 2' #1-4 below for getting into the right SharePoint Folder
- Click New > Word Document
- Click Document in top left & Rename File
- Copy and paste the information from the confluence page into this Word Document

Step 2: In SharePoint
- Log into SharePoint
- Access from your Webmail:
- Click the Waffle Menu
- Click SharePoint
- Open the appropriate Team for the document
- Click Documents
- Open the Folder to save the document in.
- Click Upload > Files
OR Drag and drop the file into the red section.
Your file is now in SharePoint! To share with others, follow these instructions: Sharing Files in SharePoint
Folders and Sub-folders help with organizing your documents. While in SharePoint Documents,
- Click +New
- Click Folder
- Name the folder, and select a color
