MFA - Use Authenticator App if no WiFi or Mobile Data

Description:

The one-time pass codes in the Microsoft Authenticator app do not require you to be connected to the Internet or use mobile data. You do not need wi-fi or phone service to sign in!

⇒ Note: Internet or a strong mobile data connection is required for the initial set up and registration of your Delhi account on the Authenticator. See related articles for instructions on setting up the app for the first time.

Instructions:

On your phone (or other device):
  1. Open the Microsoft Authenticator on your device
  2. Select your Delhi account
    • You should see a six digit, One-time password code that changes every 30 second
On device logging in to Delhi account:
  1. Log in to the Delhi area that requires MFA, i.e email, Online Delhi, etc.
  2. Click I can't use my Microsoft Authenticator app right now

  1. Choose Use a verification code

Verify your identity pop up with Use a verification code option selected

  1. Enter the one-time password code from the Microsoft Authenticator app
    • Quick Tip - If logging in on the same device as the app, you can copy and paste the code!
  2. Click Verify

You should now be logged in to your account.
