Teams - Meet - Merge Calls

Description:

Multiple Teams calls can be merged into a single call.

NOTE==> When you merge or add people to calls, those people will have access to the Chat for that call and will retain that access and see any new messages, even if they exit or are removed from the call.

Instructions"

Add more participants to an existing call:

  1. Click People at the top of the window.
  2. Start typing the participant or room name in the Invite someone or dial a number field.
    Invite participant to active meeting
  3. The list will self populate and automatically call when you click on a name.
  4. Repeat this process to add additional participants.

Merging an incoming call with current call:

  1. This function is only available when using the MS Teams Desktop application. It is not available in the web or phone app.
  2. Answer the second call and the first call will be put on hold automatically.
  3. Within the second call window - Click More > Merge Calls
    Click more, then click merge calls
  4. A window will appear showing calls that are in progress. Select the call to merge and click Merge
    Choose call to merge and click merge.
  5. It will take a few seconds for the calls to combine into one call.
