MFA - Setting up Cell and Office Phone Verification Method

Your cell and office phone can be used as additional methods of authenticating who you are. Below are the instructions on how to add them to your account

Instructions:

  1. When prompted with 'More information required', click Next

  1. If the default option is Microsoft Authenticator, you can instead click
    “I want to set up a different method” (at the bottom of the screen).

  1. Choose Phone as your method.
  2. To set up your office phone:
  • Enter your office number.
  • Click Call me
  • You will receive a phone call, answer and follow prompts.
    • Note: This option only works when you are near your desk phone.Screenshot of the phone verification setup screen. “Call me” is selected as the verification method for the entered phone number.
  1. To set up your cell phone:
  • Enter your mobile number.
  • Click Text me a code
  • Enter the verification code received via text.Same screen as previous, but the option “Text me a code” is selected instead of “Call me.”
