Description:
This article will explain how you can access a network share drive (file share) and how to pin it to your file explorer or finder for simpler future navigation.
Instructions:
Windows
- Start by right clicking the start button and choosing File Explorer, or by selecting the manila envelope in your task bar.

- Type the following in the address bar \\delhi.edu\share\ and select the share you are looking for.

- Right click on Quick Access and choose Pin current folder to Quick Access

- You will now see your Network Drive listed as a folder under 'Quick Access'

⇒ Note: Windows 10 does not allow renaming of network drives under Quick Access
Mac
- Open Finder. Then In the upper left select Go and Connect to Server

- Enter SMB://delhi.edu/share/ then the name of the share. Click Connect

- Last click on File and click Add to Sidebar to add as a shortcut to Finder
