Teams - Sending a Message

Description:

Microsoft Teams is a great way to communicate with others.  Here is how to send a message directly to a user.

Instructions:

  1. Click Chat on left in Teams
  2. Click New Chat icon on the top-right edge of the chat pane

  1. Start typing the recipient's name into the To section.  Then click on the correct user
  2. Type your message into the text box towards the bottom
    1. To open formatting options, select Format icon  Format button in Teams 
  3. When you're ready, press Enter on keyboard or click Send  Send a message icon.
