Description:
Starting Fall 2025, new students retrieve their Delhi user name and set a password using the Account Claiming Portal.
⇒ Note: The information used in the Account Claiming Portal is fed from the Admissions Portal. If personal information is mismatched at any step, please log into the Admissions Portal, update the incorrect data, and try to claim your account again the following day.
Instructions:
- Navigate to the Account Claiming Portal: https://claim.delhi.edu
- Check the box and complete the reCAPTCHA

- Click Claim Account
- Enter your SUNY Delhi ID (found on your acceptance letter), your first initial and full last name

- Click Next
- Select a verification method.

- Enter the verification code sent to the mobile number or email, depending on the method selected.
(Please see note at the top of this article if either of these contact methods are no longer valid.)
- Click Next
- The password minimum requirements will be displayed and you will be prompted to create a password for your account.

- Click Verify Password to confirm your entries match and meet all requirements
- Click Set Password to update your password.
- A Confirmation Page is displayed that lists your SUNY Delhi email address and next step instructions. An email with this information will also be sent to your Delhi inbox and the personal email address on file.
⇒ Note: The email listed on the confirmation and the password set during this process are your Delhi Single Sign On (SSO) credentials. This is used to log into the majority of Delhi web pages and resources. Be sure to remember them!
