How to share your calendar with other users in Outlook on the web

Description:

You can send a sharing invitation to other users within SUNY Delhi to view, edit, or delegate your Outlook calendar. 

This is not limited to your default calendar! You can create additional calendars and share with others for more specific items - such as coordinating time off with co-workers or coverage of an area. 

Instructions:

Outlook on the web (Webmail)

  1. Open the calendar you wish to share 
  2. Click Share at the top of the page
  3. Enter the name or email address of the person you are sharing to
  4. Select permissions:
    • Can view details allows them to see all details of your events
      • Calendar items marked private will only display times and status (busy, tentative, etc), not the title, location, or other details.
    • Can edit allows them to edit your calendar
    • Delegate allows them to respond to meeting requests on your behalf, view your calendar and tasks, add and remove items.  This option has additional permission levels that can be adjusted:
      •  Reviewer - Can read items in your folders
      • Author - Can read, create items directly in your Task or Calendar folder, and then send the item on your behalf. They change or delete items that they create, but not items you create.
      • Editor - Can do everything that an Author has permission to do and additionally can change and delete the items that you created.

  1. Click Share

The person or people listed will receive a sharing invitation to your calendar by email.  Once they click Accept they will see you shared calendar in their Outlook calendar list.
