Teams - Guest User Invitations for External Users

Summary

Instructions for Guest Users to accept invitations to the SUNY Delhi tenant.

Body

Description:

Through Microsoft, Teams and groups are able to collaborate with people outside, or external to, SUNY Delhi.  Users are requested to be added by a Delhi Team owner and invited to join our Delhi Microsoft tenant. Guest Users will need to accept the invitation before they are able to be added to specific Teams.

This page will outline what external users should expect and next steps after being invited as a Guest.

Are you a Delhi user looking to add someone to your Team?

CIS will need to add them to the Delhi system first.  Click Submit Request and select "Add External User(s)" to get this process started!

Instructions:

  1. Sign in to the email account that should have received the invitation.

  2. In your inbox, open the email from "Microsoft Invitations on behalf of SUNY Delhi".
The message will look similar to this:

  3. In the email body, select Accept invitation. A Review permissions page opens in the browser.

  4. Select Accept.

  5. SUNY Delhi Team Owners should now have the ability to add your email to Teams as a Guest.
Note: It may take up to two (2) hours for this to work.
